HA HA DA VINCI

Award-winning solo show comes to the Concrete Theatre

Internationally Toured One-Woman Performance Combines Illusion, Music, and Theatre

The Concrete Theatre is proud to present Ha Ha Da Vinci, the award-winning solo show created and performed by Port Townsend artist Phina Pipia, for two special performances: Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM.

Hailed as “imaginative, intelligent, and strangely mesmerizing” by the San Diego Union Tribune and “terrific” by the New York Times, Ha Ha Da Vinci has toured across the United States, Canada, and Europe, earning top honors at festivals from San Diego to Montreal. This is a rare opportunity for Skagit Valley audiences to experience an internationally acclaimed performance right in their own community.

The show follows a young grad student who discovers that Leonardo da Vinci and his collaborator, magician and mathematician Luca Pacioli, invented a time machine — zapping her back to the 15th century. A tuba lights the way, beds make music, paintings come to life, and a radio delivers a message from the past. Combining illusion, puppetry, music, and theatre, Ha Ha Da Vinci captivates audiences young and old.

Before the weekend shows, Pipia will offer a free Magic Workshop at the Upper Skagit Library in Concrete on
Friday, May 29 — an opportunity for community members of all ages to meet the artist and experience her
magic-teaching skills firsthand.
