It’s all Fred’s fault.
In 2021, he insisted we go on a mission to find the best ice cream we could – something super creamy, so it didn’t just taste like milk and sugar. Ice cream that’s different from what every other place is selling.
We drove all over the Pacific Northwest, and made trips to eastern Washington. We stopped every time we saw the word ice cream. Seriously. We ate 3 or 4 cones a day.
That was all for you guys, by the way! What a sacrifice.
Then we offered 4 rounds of taste tests with our favorite customers. (oh shoot, did we miss you?)
The brand that got the very highest marks was the one we knew you’d like: CEDAR CREST. It’s from a small family farm in Wisconsin (happy cows there), and they use a slow and low heat process that keeps the flavor creamy.
And then they blend it with swirls of fudge or caramel or marshmallow, and add all sorts of fruit chunks, nuts and other treats.
Good grief, how could you NOT try every single flavor (there are 20 to choose from each time you come in).
Luckily, ice cream has redeeming values (calcium, phosphorus, and certain vitamins) along with being exactly what you need once in a while to just relax and reward yourself. Eat it mindfully and savor every bite.
Okay, okay, maybe not twice a day.
